ERACE Groups

Our ERACE groups are a foundational part of what we are believing God for through our church- to be a catalyst and instrument of racial reconciliation in a city that desperately needs it. In the past twenty years the subject of racial reconciliation has gained momentum in the body of Christ. There have been numerous large gatherings that were critical in inspiring people to pursue people of different ethnicities and reflect God’s heart for the brotherhood of humanity. While these large gatherings were needed, they were, and continue to be, extremely limited. It’s time for the body of Christ to take a few more adventurous steps forward, and our ERACE groups are a part of that journey.

These groups are created to offer environments where people from different cultures and racial backgrounds can enter into dialogue with one another over a four week period of time. This will be a safe place for you to hear and share different perspectives, stereotypes and barriers to racial reconciliation. We will also discuss solutions that will help us to move forward with one another. When we’re not meeting as a small group you will be paired with a person of a different race to meet and pray together at least once each week. At the end of our time we will not have solved all or most of the issues, but we all would have gained a deeper appreciation and respect for one another, and in the process have formed relationships with people who are different than us.
